1. Instructions for Authors

  • Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration by any other journal.
  • Formatting: Submissions should be in Microsoft Word format, 12pt Times New Roman, double-spaced.
  • Citations: Authors must follow the APA Style (view guidelines) or IEEE Citation Style (view guidelines) consistently.
  • Structure: Papers must include an Abstract (max 250 words), Keywords (4–6), Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
  • Declarations: Authors must include a “Conflict of Interest” statement and “Funding Acknowledgments” at the end of the manuscript.

2. Peer Review Policy

  • IJST employs a Double-Blind Peer Review process.
  • Identity of both the author and the reviewer is kept anonymous.
  • Every manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent subject experts.
  • The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

3. Instructions for Editors & Reviewers

  • Editors: Responsible for the initial screening and ensuring a fair, unbiased review process.
  • Reviewers: Expected to provide constructive, honest, and prompt feedback. Reviewers must declare any conflict of interest and treat manuscripts as confidential documents.

4. Open Access & CC BY-NC Policy

  • IJST is a Gold Open Access journal. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
  • Legal Code: Detailed license terms can be found at Creative Commons CC BY-NC 4.0.
  • Users are free to share and adapt the material for non-commercial purposes, provided appropriate credit is given.

5. Plagiarism Policy

  • IJST has a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submissions are screened using iThenticate / Turnitin.
  • A similarity index above 15%–20% (excluding references) may result in immediate rejection.
  • Self-plagiarism (text recycling) is also strictly monitored.

6. Publication Charges (APC)

  • To support open-access publishing, IJST charges an Article Processing Charge (APC).
  • Standard Fee: [Insert Amount Here] per accepted manuscript.
  • Waivers: Partial waivers are available for authors from low-income countries.

7. Article Retraction & Correction

  • Retraction: Occurs if findings are found to be unreliable, unethical, or plagiarized after publication.
  • Correction: Issued for significant errors that do not invalidate the core findings of the paper.

8. COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Policies

  • IJST adheres to the COPE Core Practices to ensure the highest standards of publication ethics.
  • Ethics Guidelines: We follow the principles outlined at COPE Core Practices.
  • We are committed to investigating allegations of misconduct and protecting the confidentiality of all parties.

  • Digital Archiving Policy: To ensure long-term preservation of digital scholarship, IJST archives all published content with CLOCKSS and Portico.
  • Data Availability Statement: Authors are encouraged to share their research data in public repositories such as Zenodo or Figshare.
  • Human & Animal Rights: Research involving humans or animals must include a statement of approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB) and follow the Declaration of Helsinki.
  • Appeals Process: Authors who wish to appeal a rejection must submit a formal letter to the Editorial Office within 30 days of the decision.
